signing off for 2011

hello there… as of tomorrow i am ‘on-holidays’. what ever that means ;) i won’t be blogging again or posting on facebook, answering emails or taking photo’s (except for beautiful beach-y shots) until the new year.

a quick thank you to those of you who stop by my blog from time to time to see what i am up to. i hope i have managed to make you smile at least once this year. i have had a blast in my first year of ‘business’ and want to thank you all for your wonderful support.

we are off on a little family holiday after christmas to unwind and get some much needed vitamin d. it’s been a little while without sunshine around here and i can’t wait to sink my feet into the sand! i’m sure there will be many ‘happy snaps’ from our holiday that i will share with you in the new year.

i want to wish you and your family and wonderful, safe, happy and ‘bad-food’ filled christmas and an exciting new year :)

i will leave you with some images from my last three shoots for the year and a special little clip of a few of the beautiful face’s from 2011… i can’t wait to meet new bumps and babies in 2012 and leap into specialising in this area of photography. i love to read your comments and feedback about my work and hope that you can find the time to drop me a line here and there and tell me what your thoughts are. there will be a few changes made in the new year, including a swish new blog (a work in progress*) and my new prices will be available when i get back and i will let you know so you can request a copy.

much love

H x

12 short months…

as i was just saying –  time fly’s!

one whole year has passed and i can’t believe it. i can’t believe how busy i’ve been. i can’t believe how many people are enjoying my work. stopping me in the street to tell me that they can’t wait for my new blog of facebook posts. i can’t believe the comments on my facebook page from other international photography businesses. i can’t believe how much fun i am having doing this…well actually, i can, i just can’t believe how many people want to actually ‘hire’ me, little ol’ hairdresser me! and i can’t begin to thank you all enough for your support. if only you knew how excited i get to have a new ‘liker’ on my fb page or new comments on photographs i have taken that i am so critical about but at the same time so proud of!

i have been doing this for one-whole-year. all of the poses and set-up’s you see are self-taught but inspired by soooo many wonderful photographers whose work i follow and who sometimes even return my emails with tips and tricks and for that, i am extremely grateful! I love a new challenge but more so love that you let me try new things, without you my business and skills can’t grow. in only one year i can see how far i have come and it’s all thanks to those of you who have asked me to photograph the most important people in your life. thankyou.

2012 brings a new year, with new ideas and new plans…some of these ideas you already kinda know about. but here i want to share a little of what i am looking so forward to in the new year…

2012 is going to be…

all about bumps and babies (**there will be limited bookings available for any other portrait sessions)

it will include 2 weddings! yep, 2 weddings! eeek….something i am extremely excited and honoured to be asked to do :D one in melbourne and one in perth - i am already lying awake some nights at 2am thinking about these special occasions.

i will be attending a workshop by one of australia’s best newborn and wedding photographers in may…i am SO excited about this beyond words…time can’t move quick enough!

but most importantly, i am going to spend more time with my kiddies and less time at this computer. i will no longer be travelling out-of-town for photoshoots and will be limiting my sessions even more so because hey, i’ve been telling you all that time fly’s and to book a photographer to capture those special moments as you don’t know what’s around the corner but haven’t stopped to look at my own life. so i am going to slow things down a little…well, at least try ;)

**those of you who have bookings for 2012 already, i will honor my quotes/packages and still be travelling for the few of you who have requested me to do so – do. not. panic! :)

2012 will be even more awesome if…

i get to photograph newborn twins (or even triplets)

i win the lotto – but i s’pose i have to buy a ticket first, right?

which would result in upgrading some camera gear ;)

my mum can knit me some more newborn hats…fingers crossed x

and there is one thing i really really really want to do, wether it be in 2012 or after is:

photograph a family session on a salt lake!! :D … surely i can make this happen in rockingham … i just need my rocko mates to have some babies quick smart! – you know who you are ;)

once again, thankyou all for being my online friends and stopping by every once in a while to check out what i am up to… i really do appreciate it and hope to give you more beautiful images to admire.

a year of wonderful memories – in no particular order…i hope i haven’t forgotten anyone :/ thankyou for making my heart bigger <3

1 whole wordpress year !

WOW! it’s been an entire year since i posted my first entry |here| on my birdybeeimages.wordpress.com blog!! I can’t believe it!

it’s amazing and also scary how fast time fly’s! we all say it but i really do mean it, some of my first ever clients are a whole year older, baby isla, who i photographed as a newborn this time last year, has just had her first birthday!

december 7th is my official date of business opening, so i will have a special post for that day, the date i registered my business name!

but for now i want to say a huge thankyou to those of you who have asked me to photograph your beautiful children, who have supported me and encouraged me to do so, all of the lovely comments you continue to leave on my blog and facebook page and the emails and messages i receive from your friends who tell me that you recommended them to me.

i am truly grateful for your continued support and i hope to make you smile for many years to come with images of the beautiful faces i get to capture every week.

thankyou from the bottom of my heart.

waiting for baby…

after taking the looooong road to this lovely boyup brook farm, i had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous, glowing mumma and her lovely little family… it was well worth the long scenic drive ;)

thanks kirsty, brendan and spunky blake, can’t wait to meet your little bundle.

a little bit of blue…

after many girls in the studio, finally chase and jenna introduced me to their little boy!

it was a little strange setting up for the session with blue and grey blankets and no pretty headbands!

such a spunk – meet tayte …

a little something to think about …

i stumbled across this post today,  true in so many ways…

maybe it’s time to book a photographer?
